Zoos.

Animals are all around the world. We have birds, snakes, lions, elephants etc. When we go to a zoo, we see all the animals. In a zoo you can find penguins. Penguins usually need a cold habitat and the zoo keepers usually have them eat fish. The reason to have them live in a environment there so use to is so there not scared. You want the animals to feel at home. have them feel comfortable. For an example if you had a lion the probably live in a habitat where they can run. Have little ponds and grass, probably even trees. That's what the have in a zoo.

Creative Writing

My favorite childhood memory, was going to one of my brother, Nick's wedding. He lives in Denver, Colorado. He lived with me for a little while that I can remember. I met his wife, Chelsea one year for Christmas. When I got to know her, she felt like a older sister. She took care of me as if I could also been her daughter. Right away we started to treat her as family. Nick and Chelsea were together for about 4 years, till we got a call and it was official they were getting married!

My older brother Nick hasn’t lived with me for awhile. So I miss him. For about 4 years I knew his wife, Chelsea. When I heard they were getting married I got so excited. My other brother Ryan is all ready married but it was before I was born, when he decided to get married. I didn’t really learn anything from this experience. I know when, Chelsea was walking down with her dad. I started to get a tear in my eye. I loved the wedding it was emotional and fun. This memory is probably so easy to remember because my brother got married. Threw out the years when my others brothers get married, I will remember that to. My oldest brother, Dan is moving to Wisconsin. His fiancĂ©e, Emily's has family that lives in Wisconsin. In a couple years they will get married and it will be another memory I treasure.

I will always remember the time when I was a junior’s bride’s maid at Nick's wedding. A couple months ago in October, he and his wife Chelsea had a baby girl named, Kennedy. I still haven't gotten to meet her because of school but when I do. I'm going to love her as much as when I met Chelsea.

Electronics.

What's the newest electronic you have? Is it a game system, iPod or TV? A lot of people in the world have something that is electronic ail. The funny thing is that everyday, someone is inventing a new iPod or phone. Video games are played off the game system connected to a TV . Sometimes when you want to play something or watch something you have to connect it to other electronics. Electronics keep this world together. I can't imagine anyone with something with electronics.

The Secret Garden Essay.

The Secret Garden Essay.
By Helen Van Buskirk

Do you know what it feels like to live in a house that you don’t like and out of the blue you find a part of the house that amuses you? In the book “The Secret Garden,’’   by Frances Hodgson Burnet, a girl named Mary is a spoiled little girl. Mary’s parents, in the beginning send her away because she’s too hard to handle. So she is sent to a house where she has to live until, she is old enough to live on her own. The book I read mostly follows Tragedy of mode of literature because it follows the plot line and some of the characteristics.

It follows the plot line of Tragedy. In the beginning, the first point is “World is in conflict for the main character.” Mary has an okay life in India. She doesn’t care about anyone but herself. So her parents send her off to live with a different family. Mary is not so happy about the idea of the new house she’s going to live in so she's pretty upset in the beginning of the book. The next point on the plot line is “Rise to power.” In the middle of the night while Mary is trying to fall asleep she starts to hear crying. Every night, she starts to get more concern and scared. She asks everyone that lives in the house with her where it’s coming from but, no one seems to listen to her. Until one night she follows the noise and finds a boy in a bed crying. Later, on the plot line is the “Tragic flaw/ fall.”  It probably be that Mary gets caught talking to the boy. She wasn’t supposed to know that he was living there to because he was sick. There is really no death in the story. Really "The death" is that she finds out the boys mother died so that's why there's a secret garden. When his mom was alive she take him to the garden. Ever since she's been gone he's been sick. So Mary decides to take him in the garden    every once in a while. That's how the book follows the plot line of Tragedy.
Besides the part of following the plot line, “The Secret Garden" also follows the characteristics and the purpose. Characteristic is that the main character is in control. In the beginning Mary is a annoying or stubborn girl. For an example she was so use to getting whatever she wanted. But, in the house she now lives in... NO ONE does anything for her. Threw out the story you start to see her not being so stubborn. Mary starts to think about other people and realizes the world doesn’t revolve just on her. In the purpose, you have to think about what the moral lesson is. Moral lesson is basically about Mother Nature. The boy that is sick had a mother, and his dad and him made the secret garden for the mother for one her birthdays. Everyday they go in the garden till the boys mother died. His mother loved flowers and with the love that was shown by the flowers and animals in the garden, was connected to the love his mother had shown for him and for his father by the garden. Flowers, the birds that nested there, the trees and plants were all symbolic of motherly love. Which bring us back to Mother Nature.

As you can see "The Secret Garden" best represents Tragedy of mode of literature. It follows the characteristics for when Mary is learning to care about others and not just herself. The moral lesson is about Mother Nature. It also followed the plot line.

Essay.

What’s it like to have a wonderful life with your friends and family and out of the blue you have to move? I read a short story, “A Move That Changes Life,” written by May Alcott. The way I read the short story, I thought it followed Romance Mode of Literature. The story follows the characteristics and the plot line of Romance.

In the beginning of the story is a minor conflict. Sara, that’s the main character has all great friends and lives a perfect life. She gets anything she wants. The miner conflict is her dad gets a new job. Sara is devastated but, Sara controls her feelings and decides this could be a fun move. Also the good part about the move is that she lives in New Jersey and she is moving to New York. Sara’s parents are happy that she’s not to upset about the move. After the miner conflict, there is a life symbolism. The life symbolism is that Sara later meets new friends and gets a new house. I can relate to the story because I move. I use to live in six states. Wisconsin id the best place, I've moved to so far.

As the plot line fits in with the book the characteristics do to. The characteristics is that Sara threw out the story is in control. For an example, Sara helps her mom pack boxes, she helps un-pack. Her mom is so busy working that she decides to start cleaning the house. When there is a “Open House” to sell the house that is in New Jersey. In characteristics, the main character does no wrong. Threw out the short story Sara does nothing wrong. She helps her parents move and so does her friends. Her friend will miss her but, since New York and New Jersey is so close they can visit each other.

That is why when, I read " Move That Changes Life." is Romance it's based off the plot line and the characteristics. When, I was reading the short story. I thought it would follow Irony's plot line or Comedy's plot line. In the end, it mostly followed Romance.

Playback Time.

Have you ever had a dream? A dream where one day you wish you were famous or rich? We all have dreams. In "Playback Time" by Carl Deuker, is mostly about accomplishing dreams. A boy named, Mitch is the school's editor for Sports. Mitch starts to work with a girl named Kimi. She takes the pictures for the stories he writes. As I read the story, I thought that "Playback Time" followed the Comedy plot line of Mode Of Literature.

It follows the Comedy mode because, in the plot line. In "Playback Time" the normal everyday life for Mitch is he goes to school everyday and he writes new stories for the school letter. The miner conflict is when Mitch meets a new kid name Angel. Angel is good at football, but when he plays in front of the football coach. He's pretends to be bad. Conflict that is realized is that Angel, Mitch and Kimi become good friends. Mitch figures out why Angel is so bad at football when it comes to the coach. Resolution is, Mitch helps his friend Angel threw football and, Angel helps Mitch write great stories about the football game. In the end, Mitch goes back to writing and school.

Some characteristics from the book was Mitch was in control threw out the whole story. He took control when he wrote new stories for the school new paper and when he helped his friend, Angel come more confident. Mitch also tells Kimi threw out the book on what to take pictures of. Some of the Purposes in "Playback Time'' was how he solved the problem with him and Angel. How he helped Angel threw by writing about him and at the end Angel is a NFL player. Mitch is a writer int he New York Times and Kimi is a professional photographer.

I thought the book was really good. It kept me entertained threw out the whole time reading. I would recommend his book to anyone who like football. You don't even have to like football to read "Playback Time". In the end of reading the book. I think it is Comedy.

Chain Story. "The Slasher."

Author's point: In class we did a chain story. My story started, with a girl coming home from the library. Later threw out the chain it started to get confusing for me to read so I re-wrote some parts and fixed sentences.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a dark, cold night. Victoria was walking home from the library. For awhile in school everyone talked about a killer named "The Slasher." But, Victoria was the kind of teenager that didn't believe in those stupid stories. She only believed it if it was on the news.

Later, That night after she brushed her teeth and had her pajamas on, she turned on the news. "News that just came in, 6 kids were reported missing last night, they were last seen after a party." Said one of the reporters. "Witnesses say they saw them kid pulled into a black van." Victoria stopped and turned it off right away and ran up stairs to her room and rested her head on her pillow. Then she fell asleep.

Victoria woke up to a scream. The scream was coming from her basement. She got out of bed and slowly walked down the stairs to the basement. When she got there. There was no one around. She looked down by her feet and there was green goo on the floor. What is this?!" she yelled! The green goo was all over her feet and started to to rise up to her knees. When she heard a sneeze she turned around and her friends jumped out yelling "GOTCHA!!"

For a while Victoria was mad but, in a couple minutes they laughed it off. Her friends explained how her smart friend that loves to deal with computers, Pete hacked into her TV did a wireless cable to a camera. So they could make there own News cast. " But where did the green goo come from?" she asked... NO one knew what she was talking about. Until they saw a black shadow run around them....
