Math: Writing Circles
My favorite subject in school is Math. I think it's so much fun. I love doing equations and trying to figure out was the area is a shape of what the surface area is of a shape. I'll go home and start my math homework. Sometimes I'll do stupid mistakes on a test and not do so well. But, that's the point of school. You learn new things everyday and when you make a mistake you learn from your mistakes. I think doing math is very relaxing. Before I go to bed I do two or three problems. In the morning I'll do a couple it just gets me ready for the day.
Movies: Writing Circle
I love movies. When I'm really bored I watch a movie on the TV. The last couple movies I watched were "The Roommate" and "The Knowing." Both of them were not scary at all. "The Roommate was just weird. The girl has a sickness and becomes crazy. She meets this girl named Rebbecca and they basically become best friends.... Until it gets to weird. None of it was scary. It was really good. I loved it! The other movie I saw was "The Knowing:" In that movie you have to watch the beginning to understand the rest. Int he beginning, is at a school. The children in the school each draw a picture put in this time capsule. A odd girl doesn't draw a picture. She has numbers written on a piece of paper. Later in the movie. When a boy receives the picture. His dad discovers its a list of dates that tragic things will happen. That movie was a thriller and really good to. I love both of them.
Music: Writing Cirlces
My favorite singer is Lady Gaga. Yesterday, I was watching TV and on the show "The View," she was on the show. Lady Gaga was asked question about her new album, Born This Way. Her mom was in the crowd and the camera showed her clapping when Lady Gaga said what her album was about. Later in the show she had her mom come on the stage with her and the ladies on the show asked her question. Her mom was telling them how she's with Lady Gaga all the time. her mom quit her job to travel around the world with her daughter. She makes Lady Gaga dinner and they go shopping together. Lady Gaga said that she has a very good relationship with her mom and family. Lady Gaga shares her ideas to her family before anyone else knows about them.

The Storm: Creative Piece
It started to drizzle as I got home. I was a little wet but felt like I was soaked. "Mom!" I yelled. No answer. It was weird because my mom usually would of answered me by then. It was a Thursday night. No school Friday because it was Memorial Day week-end. I looked outside my front door window. It was all gray outside. When I looked up to the clouds it was black. I turned around and walked into the kitchen grabbed a apple and went inside my room. I sat down on my bed and turned my TV on. "Criminal Minds" was on. So I started to watch that when I fell asleep.
I woke to a crash. It sounded like it came from outside. But it was to foggy where I couldn't see anything. I yelled "Mom!" No answer still. "Dad!!" Still no answer. I was mad that no one was still home and I looked at the clock. 8:00 P.M. I tried calling both my parents and still no answer. I walked outside my bedroom and looked out the window again. I heard another crash but this time I saw a very bright flash. I screamed then I realized it was lighting. I went in the kitchen and looked around for something to eat. I heated up some pizza and turned on the News in the living room. To see the weather.
All the weather said was that there was a tornado watch. "Great." I responded to my self. Outside you could here it raining really hard and it was all flooded on the streets. I was really scared considering, I had no idea where my mom and dad were. They didn't leave a note. So where could the be? I thought to my self. I started to cry and a alert is on the TV. I run in the room. "WARNING: Everyone in Pewaukee get to a safe location. A tornado had been created in the storm. Get to any lower level floor or NO window room." Tornado has been detected!" I screamed. and ran into the bathroom with my dog and cat. I thought to my self, I was going to die.
All I could remember was running in the bathroom. But after the third time screaming I woke up to my alarm clock going off. I jumped out of bed and looked out side it was sunny. I looked at the calender, it was Thursday again. Like nothing ever happened. I laughed to my self. " Mom!!" I yelled. She came in my room yes sweetie?" I hugged her and she was in shock. "Your not going anywhere today right?!" She looked at me puzzled. "No, Helen. I'm not why?" I hugged her again and started to cry. "No reason, Just wanted to say I love you so much."

The Adoption: Creative Piece
It was a Friday afternoon when Emily got home from school, she asked her mom if they could go adopt a cat. Her mom was promising her for awhile they would go get a cat. Emily was very excited. She ran outside to the car and her mom and her were on there way to the shelter. "Are we almost there yet!" Her mom chuckled. "Emily, were just going to go look today. We have to buy the cat stuff first.
Emily and her mom pulled into the parking lot of the shelter. Emily read the sign. It said "Happy Endings." She smiled and ran inside of the building. As she ran her mom walked in be hide her. Cats were everywhere in the building "Hello." A woman walked up with a kitten in her hands. As put the kitten down to run around, Emily's mom was telling the lady what kind of cat they were looking for and why they were there.Emily just walked around. She looked in this cage and inside that cage was the most cutest kitten ever. She looked around. Her mom and the lady walked up be hide her. "Ahh. Noelle. She loves to play. I think sometimes she thinks shes a dog because she'll want you to rub her tummy." Emily looked up and chuckled. The lady opened the cage and Noelle walked out. For about 10 minutes Noelle played with Emily. " Mom she's perfect!"
Emily and her mom adopted the cat. "Alright your all set! Come Tuesday to pick her up!" Emily hugged the cat goos bye and hugged the lady. "Thank you!" As Emily and her mom left they were thinking about what to name the cat. The cat's name was Noelle but they wanted a name to call her for there own. " How about Stella? Or wait, Bella!" Emily's mom smiled. " I like Bella." Emily looked out the window. She could just imagine her and the cat in her room. Laying on the other side of her bed at night. All she could to is imagine how the cat would be like at home, until she would pick her up.
It was Monday night and it was the day to pick Bella up. "Yay!" Mom you have everything ready?!" Her mom yelled down the hall. "Yes sweetie!" Emily was so excited. Tomorrow by this time she would have a cat! In her own room! She layed down and fell right to sleep the next day they went back tot he shelter. Emily and her mom picked up Bella and brought her home. At first Bella was afraid of us. But by Friday. She was already apart of the family.

Matilda by Roald Dahl Essay.
Do you wonder what’s it like to live with a family that doesn’t pay attention to you because you’re different? Outside of school, I have been reading the book “Matilda, written by Roald Dahl.” Matilda is about a girl who is very intelligent and doesn’t have the parents to reward her for how much she’s smart. Until she finally starts school at age six. The school Matilda goes to has a very mean principal but the teacher is the nicest adult, Matilda has ever met. I thought the two major themes in “Matilda” were Magic and Love.
The first theme in “Matilda” is Magic. In the book it explains how when Matilda is mad or upset she can do a special trick using her mind or her brain. For an example in one of the chapters the Principal, named Mrs. Trunchbull was going to visit Ms. Honey’s classroom. That was where Matilda was in class. As the kids were sitting down, Matilda’s friend Lavender was pouring a glass of water for the Mrs. Trunchball. The only thing the principal didn’t know was that there was a frog in the pitcher of water. When Mrs. Trunchbull was about to drink her glass of water Matilda used her mind and tipped over the pitcher. Mrs. Trunchbull looked down and saw the frog inside the glass of water.
Although Magic is an important theme, Love is also very important in the book Matilda. In the beginning of the story, the author explains to the reader that Matilda doesn’t have a family that really loves her because all her parents want to do is to watch TV. Matilda’s parents even she admits she is a mistake and they don’t love her because she doesn’t fit with the family. When I mean fit, I mean she’s different from them. She loves to read and learn. Her mom, dad and her brother just sit around and watch TV. So, in the end of the book the teacher loves Matilda, almost as if Matilda was her own daughter. At the end Matilda’s parents have Ms. Honey adopt Matilda. It’s a happy ending.
Those are the main themes you need to think about when you read Matilda because the first theme is about magic with Matilda controlling her power with her mind. First she started using her power when she got mad, for an example when she’s forced to watch TV she uses her mind to blow it up. The second theme you have to remember is love, for an example when Matilda is adopted by her teacher Ms. Honey. Those are the two themes in “Matilda, written by Roald Dahl.”
